I was just thinking. You know, Clarins doesn't get enough love and especially credit for some of their products.

Not the serums and creams, but their color lineup. Clarins has always quietly delivered when it comes to makeup. And if memory serves, they were one of the first to launch a lip oil—well before the current craze. I remember digging around in 2018 to find out what lip product Michelle Williams wore to an awards show. It was the Comfort Lip Oil in 01 Honey. The product got a good amount of press at the time, but Clarins never really received the credit they deserved for starting the trend.

There’s one Clarins product I keep coming back to: the Natural Lip Perfector Shimmer Lip Gloss in 01 Rose Shimmer. Sometimes it just pops into my head, or I’ll spot someone applying it—like the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton—and suddenly I’m wondering why I don’t have it.

I don’t say this often, but it’s one of those products I think everyone should have, regardless of the shade.

It’s soft, moisturizing, and quite cushion-y and, unlike so many other lip products, it doesn’t leave your lips dry after applying it over and over. It never gets gritty or rough like a certain popular peptide balm that’s everywhere right now. The Lip Perfector might be a little pricey, but it’s so worth it.
