Once upon a time, buying your beloved face and body foundation was easy. For me, there were two, Make Up For Ever and MAC. MUFE was my favorite, but both were excellent. MAC’s Studio Face & Body was the first foundation in my artist kit—it worked on most everyone and gave a flawless appearance.

(And yes, I know Dior makes a Face & Body too, but it’s just not the same—at least to me.) A true face and body foundation is one you can wear from top to toe. It doesn’t budge, doesn’t transfer, and delivers light, breathable coverage. It’s not for everyone—especially those with textured skin, dark hyperpigmentation, or active breakouts. You need a pretty good canvas. But for perfect skin or legs? F&B is magic.

And, then, it all ended.

MUFE eventually reformulated the product to Water Blend, not exactly the product I loved, and then the F&B disappeared. MAC reformulated their F&B to a "radiant" version. Not ideal for every skin type.

But recently, while visiting my sister in Vegas, I found a bottle of the original MAC Face & Body (shade N1) at Nordstrom Rack. Not my usual N2, but close enough. I almost cried.

Perfection does exist. You just might have to let it go… or stumble across it in the most unexpected places.
