It does happen and, when it does, it's relatively tragic. This actually happened to me years ago while on vacation. Not just my makeup bag, but everything I had was stolen out of my rental car in Los Angeles. Losing my makeup was one thing, but losing my eyeglasses, plane ticket (before apps), and my house and car keys was not-so funny. Neither was having to pay for the break-in.

Moving on.

But, if I just lost my makeup bag, today, and had to immediately replace my most-used products, here's what I'd get:

1. Concealer. My ride or die, Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Serum Concealer (1N1). My favorite concealer by far and it works as both a concealer and spot foundation.

2. Bronzer. Benefit Hoola (Original Neutral) is the perfect multitasker. And, not particularly expensive. Note: I'd have to pick up a brush since it no longer comes with that cute contour-y brush.

3. Blush. Hands down, Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks in Chouchette. I love Gucci's cream blush. The shade Chouchette is a sort of a nude peach that can also work as a cream bronzer.

4. Lip pencil. I have to have a pencil. Otherwise, every lip product just blends into my face. I will forever have MOB Beauty M1990 in my arsenal. It's the original shade of MAC Cosmetics Spice, formulated by the original MAC chemist, Vic Casale. Lucky us, Vic is the co-owner/chemist at MOB. The absolute perfect nude-pink shade. Often imitated, never duplicated.

5. Lip product. Honestly, the majority of my lip products dry out my lips (reason for me to concoct my own). So, if had to quickly replace a single lip product, I'd pick up PCA Skin Hyaluronic Acid Lip Booster. Plumps and smooths, and just feels and looks great with/without a pencil. It also tastes yummy.

6. Mascara. I normally rotate 2 mascaras at a time but my constant is Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in Brown Black because it offers just the right amount of natural emphasis.

7. Highlighter. More Gucci, please. Westman Atelier has the best highlighters, and my favorite is the Lit Up Highlighter Stick. As a replacement, I'd get the original in the shade Lit.

8. Sunscreen. My favorite, ride or die right now, Sephora Daily Mineral Sunscreen Cream SPF 30. It's even moisturizing. It gives a nice glow and it works.

9. Eye Cream. I will never not use MAC's Fast Response DePuff Eye Cream. I can't wear concealer without it.

10. Fragrance. I have so many fragrances I rotate, but the one scent I always have in my handbag is a travel size of Chloe EDP. It's a sophisticated rose fragrance with a touch of amber to give it depth and not so mumsy. Great for day and evening.
